Hey all. Have you ever heard of Niue? No? Well, it's a small country west of Australia and New Zeleand. It is 260 km² big, which is a about the size of a small pacific island. This is because, it IS a pacific island. What's so interesting about this country?
Well, besides its remarkably small size, Niue is the first and only country in the world to have free wi-fi everywhere! Yep, it's pretty cool. The government can manage to do this because the small amount of population (more or less 2,000 people) In 2008, the government even gave every child in the country a free computer! The cool stuff doesen't end there, they have varying themes on their coins, including Pokémon, Snoopy, and Stra Wars coins (1$ each). Oh, and let's not forget the country is a tropical paradise in the middle of the Pacific with beautiful beaches and vegetation, along with some native dances and public events.

ReplyDeleteNo, Niue has very extensive comunication roads. As seen in the map, it has a highway that surrounds the whole island. It only has one airport the Happa Airport, 5 minutes away from the main city and capita, Alofi.
