The True Story of the Titanic

RMS Titanic 3.jpg
Titanic ... or Olympic?
Hey all! Today I'm gonna post about the inside secrets of the Titanic's sinking, to go along with my partners last post. Many people know the Titanic as the huge luxury mail ship that hit an iceberg in the Atlantic and sunk, right? Well, that's actually wrong. The Titanic never sunk.

You may be thinking I am insane, but it is the truth. It's a long story, so bear with me.

The Titanic had two twin sisters, the Olympic and the Gigantic. The Gigantic was turned to a hospital ship due to World War I, and sunk in the ocean. That leaves us only with the Titanic and the Olympic.

The three sisters
The Olympic came before the Titanic. It made similar trips, crossing the Atlantic Ocean from Europe to America. The Olympic, on its first trip, got heavy damage on one of its sides. On the second, a noticeable scratch. The pattern continued, and the boat's insurance company decided that they could no longer insure the cursed boat. Because of this, the owners of the boat lost truckloads of money with each subsequent damage to the vessel.

The Titanic was going to be finished around this time, and that's when the idea came up: they would sink the Gigantic to end their troubles AND charge the insurance company. To do this, they removed the Titanic's nameplate and remodeled the Gigantic to become a lookalike of the Titanic. They deceived everyone, saying that this ship was the brand-new Titanic, and even the insurance company fell for it, and they decided they would be able to insure this new boat.
That fateful day...

On April 11, 1912, the Olympic, disguised as the Titanic, set out. The captain and other high-ranking officers were completely aware of their task, they were to hit an iceberg in the northern Atlantic Sea at specific coordinates, in such a way that it was certain that the boat would sink. The "accident" was so planed out they got confident. And so, they did not pack enough lifeboats for everyone.

On April 13 of the same year, disaster occurred. The "Titanic", or rather, the Olympic, hit an iceberg. But if this had already been planned out: how come everyone still died? The reason is simple. When the ship hit the iceberg, the Titanic was going to set free three sets of fireworks: red, blue, and white. This would be a signal to the M.S. California, which was nearby. However, when the moment of the incident came, the blue fireworks did not reach high enough to be visible by the California. Because of this, the California did not think they were the Titanic, and did not come aid them. The only other boat that was nearby was an illegal whale-hunting ship, and they did not assist the Olympic because they were afraid to be put in jail after the incident cleared up. The Carpathia showed up around two hours after the incident. For those who had not escaped in lifeboats, it was already too late. You know the rest of the story.

The Olympic's shipwreck
The company, White Star Line, charged the ship's insurance and got rid of the Olympic. The Titanic was disassembled to eliminate evidence of the scam, and never actually set sail. The captain, who survived, tried to organize a trial to tell his story three times, and all three times his requests were unheard.

Recent underwater photographs of the Olympic show that the plate that read "Titanic" has been partially eaten away by the sea, revealing a letter of another plate below "Titanic" the "m" from Olympic. Many other evidences have been found, such as the captain's testimonies, the measurements and placements of windows, and a scratch that perfectly matches one that was done to the Olympic.

And so, what seemed like a tragic accident turned out to be a planned scam, and even though the company did not intend those people to die, they still got away with it, they still killed more than a thousand people for their own greedy purposes. The truth has finally surfaced, about 100 years ago after that fateful day.

Weird Facts: Colors

We all know colors. They are the spice of life. They come in various tonalities and intensities, and they fill our everyday with their simple, charming grace. As you might already know, colors have the ability to cause different reactions in us, like happiness or sadness. So today I'm gonna talk about the weird effects color has on us. Every color has bipolar effects, and I'm gonna show you how they are used to influence you subliminally.

RED: Our friend red here has many strong effects, and it immediately grabs our attention. Red conveys  aggravation, strength, anger. It symbolizes danger and makes us alert and hungry. On the positive side it conveys love, passion, speed and other powerful effects. Red is by far the most intense color, and the one that most impacts us subliminally. Red has been proven to increase our heart and breathing rate. Red also promotes quicker decision-making processes (due to the brain being in alert-mode).

Examples:
  • Red is used in fast food logos because it promotes hunger, and also shows speed. Red also incites quick decision-making and increases expectations, so it is also very much used at casinos.
  • Red ties are often used by political leaders when they want to show strength and conviction, and when they want to get their points across.
  • Red increases the attraction of women (meaning men love women with red skirts)

BLUE: Our pal blue is smooth and relaxed. Blue conveys wisdom, trust, honesty, calm, and relaxation. Blue lets out calming hormones and whoever wears blue will seem like an ally, who is saying the truth and is a wise person. Blue on the other hand, can also convey sadness and depression if used in the correct situation.

Examples:

  • Blue dyes convey comfort and relaxation, making you feel good. This is why Twitter's, Facebook's, Intel's, Samsung's, and Hp's logos are blue.
  • Blue ties are often wore by political leaders when they want to show credibility, trustworthiness, "everything is allright", and "I'm your ally".
  • Men that wear blue are more attractive to women, because they show honesty and trustworthiness.

GREEN: Green symbolizes nature, protection, home. We used to live under the canopy of the trees so I supppose this makes sense.

Examples:

  • Green dyes, similarly to blue dyes, convey relaxation and peace. Green is often used to symbolize nature and organic things.
  • Babies that sleep in green-painted rooms are less prone to crying, since they feel more safe.

Other colorful facts:

  • Babies cry more often if they sleep on yellow rooms. Specialists believe that since we lived under the canopy of the trees, the sun would mean we were not protected by foliage, so babies would scream to alert. Remember this is your reptile brain and your subconscious working.

  • The least liked colors by both males and females are brown, orange, and purple, so try to avoid these colors (brown can work for certain clothing and details).

There's a lot to colors, and an obscene amount of subliminal messaging going on, so be careful on what you chose to wear today, because you might unknowingly be changing what people think about you.

Would you rather trust this woman?
Or this one?

By the way: Sorry for not having posted for so long. Personal stuff got in the way. Anyways, glad its over. I'll try to make up to you readers :)

Millionarie Yacht

With its 'wings' curves, long pointed nose and gleaming helmet just resting on waves, this yacht space age seems more suitable for the sky to the sea.
Actually only a few square meters of the ship futuristic touch the surface of the water, allowing you to easily glide over the waves.
The innovative design and high-tech remote control with an iPad, helped the bright Adastra, valued at $ 15 million, to take three awards at the prestigious ShowBoats Design Awards last week in Monaco, including Best Architecture Naval.
He also won the Most Innovative Design in the World Superyacht Awards 2013 in early 2013.
So, this figure alien spaceship and Concorde between, could be the future of superyacht design?
"The superyacht industry is fairly traditional, but the establishment has given a 'yes' to this idea, which is a big step forward," he told CNN designer John Shuttleworth.
The sexy superyacht

"Inevitably, there must be a tendency to reduce fuel consumption, and I believe in the future of superyachts will be similar to this. I do not think this issue determined economy, these are owners rich and cost is not an issue. Instead, it will be from an ethical standpoint and environmentalist ".

Stick-N-Find

Are you the kind of person who has lost hundreds of times the keys , control of the TV or to the dog? If you answered yes, there is a new device that could improve your luck

Stick-N-Find an application is a sophisticated gadget and works like this: a chip cling to anything susceptible to loss and configure your mobile device to follow.
The small circular device-nearly 2.5 inches in diameter and about 4.5 grams of weight-works with bluetooth technology and clock battery.
Meanwhile, the application is available for your smartphone or tablet (IOS and android)  can locate the object through radar. However, it is only possible to know the proximity, not the address of the chip, so once registered by the system, users must play a kind of hot and cold to find what they want.
The application allows you to identify each chip-cat, car keys, wallet-with up to 20 virtual device labels.
You can also set alerts for when something (a baby, for example) goes out of the  30 meter range of the system, and vice versa.

Stick-N-Find  is available on http://www.sticknfind.com/. It is sold in packs of 2, 4, 6, 10, and 20 and is available in black, red, pink, blue, white, and clear (transparent). The price varies depending on the pack, the cheapest being $49.99 and the most expensive being $389.99.

Stick-N-Find seems pretty useful, maybe I'll go ahead and buy a few. (once I save a bit of $$$)

You will buy one ?

Musical Mystery

A musical mystery surrounded Britain's highest mountain after a piano was discovered near its summit.
Volunteers clearing stones from the 4,418ft peak were astonished when they discovered the musical instrument on Ben Nevis. An appeal has now been launched to find out how and why the piano came to be within 200 metres of the top of the mountain.
The piano was recovered at the weekend by 15 volunteers from the John Muir Trust, the conservation charity which owns part of Ben Nevis.
The squad was removing litter and stones called cairns from the summit plateau when they spotted the top of the piano.

This is LOVE magic

Lena Paahlsson in Sweden had long ago lost hope of finding the ring, which she designed herself. The white-gold band, set with seven small diamonds, went missing in her kitchen in 1995. Although the ring no longer fits, she hoped to have it enlarged so she could wear it again.
Mrs. Paahlsson and her family live on a farm near Mora in central Sweden. She took the ring off to do some Christmas baking with her daughters, but it disappeared from the work surface where it had been left.
The family searched everywhere and years later took up the tiling on the floor during renovations, in the hope of finding the ring. It was not until 16 years later when Mrs. Paahlsson was pulling up carrots in her garden that she noticed one with the gold band fastened tightly around it.

Weird inventions: Gas mask bra

Hey everyone. We all know stuff is constantly evolving and shifting, things become obsolete in a few months with nowadays technology. But one thing has remained more or less the same since its invention: the bra. Until now...

We all know bras. They are the upper part of female undrwear that covers the breasts. Thats pretty much it. So why is this new bra so special? Well, it can become a gas mask.
Bras kind in all kinds of colors, if you didn't know.

Yes, you heard that right. Bras can now not only cover breasts from pervs, but also mouths from poisonous gasses. Not only that, but it becomes two gas masks, so you can protect yourself and a someone else. I suppose that when you turn it into a gas mask it no longer covers your breasts, but if you are in a situation in which you need a gas mask, i doubt that's important.

Dr. Elena Bodnar, a doctor from Chicago, won the Ig Nobel prize in 2009 at Harvard University for her unusual but (I suppose) useful invention. When asked about her creation she says "you can never be too prepared".

As seen on ebbra.com
Bring it on...
Well, that's what this bra is all about. Hopefully you do not feel the need to buy this, because if you do, you should consider a career change. However, if you are still interested to buy it for whatever reason, it is available on ebbra.com for $29.95.

Super Snake

The Green Anaconda is the largest snake in the world, growing to 29 feet long and weighing up to 550 pounds. Freaked out yet? Their super duper skills are being able to squeeze the life out of their food with muscular long bodies AND- swallow large prey whole like wild pigs, deer, birds and turtles.

Their jaws have very stretchy ligaments. I'll say! Once fed, they can just chill out for a few months and digest. Baby anacondas break out of the egg with instant abilities to swim and hunt. So they are basically perfect killing machinesc =O
What would you do if you saw one?

Google Doodles

Hello, everyone using google know they produce some fun interactive logos ( Yeah de one we play with )  in  important days, but in this post I come to tell you a little about Doodles history

How did the idea for doodles originate?

In 1998, before the company was even incorporated, the concept of the doodle was born when Google founders Larry and Sergey placed a stick figure drawing behind the second “o” in the word Google. This was intended as a comical message to Google users that the founders were “out of office” While the first doodle was relatively simple, the idea of decorating the company logo to celebrate notable events was born.
Two years later in 2000, Larry and Sergey asked the then current webmaster Dennis Hwang to produce a doodle for Bastille Day. It was so well received by our users that Dennis was appointed Google’s chief doodler and doodles started showing up more and more regularly on the Google homepage. In the beginning they mostly celebrated familiar holidays; nowadays, they highlight a wide array of events and anniversaries from theThe 1st Drive-In Movie to the the educator Maria Montessori.

How many doodles has Google done over the years?

The team has created over 1500 doodles for our homepages around the world... And counting! You can see them all at www.google.com/doodles.

How can Google users/the public submit ideas for doodles?

The doodle team is always excited to hear ideas from users – you can email proposals@google.com with ideas for the next Google doodle.

Weird Maths

Hey everyone! Today i'm gonna post a weird math fact. Yes, I know it's math and that it may not be particularly fun, but hey, we've gotta have some variety here. So here we go.

If I tell you to write the number one, about 100% of the population would write "1". However, there is another way to write it. 1=0.99999999... Wait, what? Yes despite logic would tell you 0.99999999... is less than 1, it is not. It is also not an aproximation or estimate, it is EQUAL. Both represent one.

How is this possible? Well, there are many evidences to prove this. However, most of them are quite complex and well, flat out boring. So, I'll just give you the two simplest explanations:

 _______________________________________________________________________

EXPLANATION 1:
This one is realy easy to visualize, really.

1  =  0.3333333....
3

2 = 0.666666666....

3

3 = 0.9999999....  OR   3 = 1 = 1
3                                    3    1

Therefore 1, 3 and 0.9999999... are equivalent
                     3

_______________________________________________________________________

EXPLANATION 2:
A tad more complicated, but has a formula that looks smart and bears solid proof.

x = 0.9999999999...
10x =  9.999999999...                            (Multiplied both sides by ten)
10x - x = 9.999999... - 0.9999999...      (Substracted one tenth of each side)
9x = 9
x = 1                                                      (Divided both sides by nine)

As you can see, in the first statement x = 0.999999999..., but in  the last x = 1, proving that these two numbers have the same value.
________________________________________________________________________

Well there it is. I hope you got through the explanation. Don't worry, I won't make math a habit on our blog. Anyways, we highly encourage the usage of our blog posts to make you seem smarter, start conversations, bewilder people, and other similar activities.

Burning Mine

Hi , we all know that the coal is used to BBQ , but for this town was a complety disaster when in 1962 a coal mine starts burning and until this days it burns.
The city is Centralia , now is a ghost town Its population has decrease from over 1,000 residents in 1981 to 10 in 2013
Centralia is part of the Bloomsburg-Berwick micropolitan area. The borough is completely surrounded by Conyngham Township.
All properties in the borough were claimed under eminent domain by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in 1992 and all buildings therein were condemned, and Centralia's ZIP code was revoked by the Postal Service in 2002. A few residents continue to reside there in spite of the failure of a lawsuit to reverse the eminent domain claim.

Huge Family

How big is your family? You may have a brother, a sister some children and maybe even some grandchildren. However, if you think your family is too big, think again, for Ziona Chana has the biggest family in the world.

So, how big is that family? 10, 20, maybe 30 people? Well, Ziona Chana has 39 wives, 94 children, 33 grandchildren and 14 daughters in law, adding up to 181 people, including Mr. Chana himself. The ginourmous family resides in India, in a four story building with approximately one hundred rooms. For only one meal, 30 chicken need to be plucked, 132lb of potatoes have to be peeled, and 220lb of rice have to be boiled.
The full monty: The Ziona family in its entirety with all 181 members
Mr. Chana and his family

Mr. Chana, however, is not bothered by the huge family he has to maintain; he states that he feels like God's special child, taking care of so many people and being loved by so many wives. The wives take turns sleeping with him each night, the rest sleep in a huge communal bedroom.
You treat this place like a hotel: With 100 rooms the Ziona mansion is the biggest concrete structure in the hilly village of Baktawng
The House

According to one of the wives, there are no discussions; the family works on love and respect. Besides from Mr. Chana overviewing the family, the oldest wife, Zathiangi, leads the chores such as washing, preparing meals, etc.

Mr. Chang has not yet finished his search for new wives. He says he would even go to the U.S. in order to find his 40th wife.

What do you think? Is having a family this big sane? What is your ideal size for a family? Let us know in the comments section!

Weird Countries: Niue

Hey all. Have you ever heard of Niue? No? Well, it's a small country west of Australia and New Zeleand. It is 260 km² big, which is a about the size of a small pacific island. This is because, it IS a pacific island. What's so interesting about this country?

Well, besides its remarkably small size, Niue is the first and only country in the world to have free wi-fi everywhere! Yep, it's pretty cool. The government can manage to do this because the small amount of population (more or less 2,000 people) In 2008, the government even gave every child in the country a free computer! The cool stuff doesen't end there, they have varying themes on their coins, including Pokémon, Snoopy, and Stra Wars coins (1$ each). Oh, and let's not forget the country is a tropical paradise in the middle of the Pacific with beautiful beaches and vegetation, along with some native dances and public events.

Will you go to Niue these vacations?

Action Park

Action Park was an amusement park open from 1978 to 1996 based in Vernon Township, New Jersey, in the recreational area known as Mountain Creek.

It had separate areas with their own attractions: Alpine zone, Motorworld and Waterworld. The latter is considered one of the first water parks in USA. Several of Action Park's attractions were unique and attracted many visitors. So, what's so weird about this park?

Well, it became famous because of poorly designed and unsafe attractions, inattentive employees, minors as employees, food intoxication and other similar characteristics Unsurprisingly, it broke records as one of the most unsafe parks in the world. It even has a record of six deaths in one try of one ride.

It was named "Park Accidents" by doctors in the region because of the many patients that came injured from said park. Even so, nothing  was done by the authorities. In later years, however, some visitor lawsuits forced the closure of various attractions, until the closure of the park itself in 1996.

Thankfully, Disney does have some talented engineers.

Eco-Car

Is this what the Eco-Dubai 1 will look like?
To continue the green mood my partner settled yesterday with his nice carboard bike post, I'll now be posting about the Eco-Dubai.

Eco-Dubai 1 is a car that's being developed that could theoretically travel 1,000 km using just one liter of fuel! (Just to give you an idea, an average car could travel more or less 8km) The lightweight vehicle has reached its final stage of construction, so testing will begin in about two weeks.

The car took almost two years of work by students at the Higher Colleges of Technology Dubai Men's College. With half a meter wide, two meters ling and half a meter high, it's a pretty small car, no huge pieces or anything. It weighs about 25kg. which isn't that much either. It has a pretty sleek and modern design; it seems like a time machine pod or something along those lines to me, but it's still pretty cool. Bear in mind the actual car may be different from the image I found.

It  is supposed to enter the Shell's Eco-Marathon this July 4-7 in Kuala Lumpur, in which it will compete against other similarly designed cars from around the world, although four of its copmpeters will be from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) too. The winners of the competition will be those that designed the car that could travel the farthest on just one litre of fuel.

One of the students behind the car, Ahmad Khamis Al Suwaidi, said: "Petrol is not going to last forever. One day we're going to run out. So in terms of developing a local eco-car industry, it starts with us. We're the future of the UAE in this." Pretty noble stance, huh. I don't think oil exporting countres would be too happy about this, though.

What do you think? Pretty interesting, I think. Feel free to comment or suggest topics for future posts. Thanks for reading!

Special thanks: Rosana Pochat

Green Bike!

For years, people said he never would. However, the inventor Izhar Gafni used his own money, resources, and what he calls "intuition" to build a bicycle almost entirely out of cardboard.
It took four years and six prototypes to finish his bike Gafni. Her story and video posted on Vimeo that went viral. Izzy, as it is called, became the internet sensation
With its ability obtained a lightweight cardboard box, waterproof and recyclable cyclists capable of supporting up to 225 kilos in weight. A big size cardboard bike weighs about 10 kilos and, according to Izzy, never require adjustments or repairs.

Monkey Buisness

As you might have noticed before, the world is full of odd, sensless things. We may not understand why, when, or how, but they are a reality.

So, what's it this time. Well, believe it or not, there's a monkey that's the director of the Sardar Bhagat University of Technology and Administration in India.

Yes, yes, it's true. The monkey, Hanuman, has his own office, with computers and everything. When the board of directors was seeking a competent (human) director, they couldn't find one, so they decided the director should be Hanuman, the Indian monkey god. In Indian culture, he is very famous for his strength and courage; his most famous deed being leadering an army of monkeys in order to battle the evil Ravana, and save a princess.

Well, I've never being to India, but judging by this fact it seems like a very varied place, with a very rich culture. I guess it must be full of surprises. Anyways, remember to leave your thoughts and comments in the comments section.

Trampoline Bridge

The Eiffel Tower is old news, the new tourist attraction in France – if approved – will be this massive inflatable trampoline bridge. With plans to be constructed in the Seine river, the bridge will consist of three massive fungasm inducing trampolines.

These floating bouncy platforms are twisted to form arches and attached together with cord to form a bridge connecting the banks of the river Seine.
Stairs at either end allow access to the trampoline bridge, with a slide option for people who need to descend in a rush.
The design came third in a competition for ideas for new crossings on the river Seine. The Seine already has 37 bridges.

Hey, everyone! Today I'm gonna post some neat easter eggs Google puts in its search engine. There's quite a lot of them, so I'll post about the ones I find the most interesting and fun. All of the following searches have to be done without the quotes. So get your fingers ready to type (or rather, copy paste) and open some new tabs. Here they are:

- Search for "atari breakout". Then click on the images section. You'll have a neat surprise.

- Search for "do a barrel roll" I think you can guess what will happen. Also, searching for "tilt" results in a similar effect.

- Search for "zerg rush". See how long you can survive...

- Search for "Conway's Game of Life". Apparently, if you have lots of patience, you can see the word Google form on the right.

- Search for "anagram". Notice anything strange in the suggestions? As a follow up, search "define anagram". Again, the "did you mean?" suggestions seem to be a little off...

- Search for "the number of horns on a unicorn". Unsurprising? Well, you can also have google answer you "the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything". Well, I guess Google DOES know everything...

Well, that's all. Feel free to leave your thoughts and comments. If you know about another nice trick, feel free to comment.

Termites eat through wood faster while listening to rock music!

We all get a little pumped up after blasting ACDC while driving down the highway - how can you resist such a powerful sensation? According to a study done by Dr Trenchard Bowelson termites can't resist the power of rock either! Awesome
In fact, if termites are chewing through wood in the presence of rock music, they will actually eat through the wood twice as fast as they normally would have!

Weird Facts: Sneezing

Maybe if you've looked at the sun, (Not recommended) you might have felt the irresistible urge to sneeze. It's just a weird thing that happens. About 20% of the population will be unable to resist the urge to sneeze, especially if coming from a dark place. Funny thing is, we don't really know why. The most likely theory is that when our pupils contract as a reflex to light stimulus, for some reason the stimulus cross-wires in your brain and so it thinks your nose is irritated, triggering the sneeze. In other words, your brain gets all messed up and does stuff all wrong. However, we still don't know exactly what happens. Weird, huh? If you wanna look it up, the reflex is called the photic sneeze reflex.

Brain test

Hi , in this post you will play a brain test that probably will make you laugh  a lot :)

Random Knowledge

Dunno, felt like posting random stuff you may or may not need to know for life, but hey, it may be useful for, you know, looking smart or making small talk.

- A lion eating the sun is a symbol used in alchemy. It has double meaning; it may symbolize the removing of impurities of ore to stay with the precious, (gold) or it can also symbolize that being so obsessed with gold will eat your soul away. Weird... Also, it's a frequently spotted symbol in Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward (AKA VLR) a pretty fun and deep videogame for 3DS and PSVita.

- Drinking a glass of wine a day extends life.

- Bethoven's 5th Symphony has the same rythm as a "v" in Morse Code.
(Get it? FIFTH = V)

- In electric switches "o" means off while "-" means on. When the same button  is used to turn on and off a symbol like the one in the photo is displayed.

- No word rhymes with purple (excluding proper names... sorry Myrtle)

- Most scientists have agreed that the egg came before the hen.

- The area of a sphere is 4 πr².

Aaand... that's it! Did you know these things? Well, you might as well add these to your useless knowledge inventory!

Weird facts: Nylon

Do you know nylon? You know that thing, tranparent-y thread used as a line for fishing rods? Or maybe you know it as the colorful thread used in bags and clothes. Well, anyways, here's a weird fact, nylon wasn't called "nylon" because it was a commercial name. It was called like that because it was, unknowingly, developed by two cities at the same time. They then presented it at the same seminar, so they gave it the name of the two cities. These cities were New York and London. NY and LONdon. NY + LON = NYLON! Did you know that? Pretty cool, huh?

Weird (slightly disgusting) Fact:

Well here's a turn for the weirder facts. Apparently, about half the people wipe their behinds after pooping sitting, while the other half does it standing. The funny thing is, one half never knew the other existed and sees what they're doing as weird. They'd be like "ZOMG, you wipe standing/sitting? How's that possible? I never thought anybody did that!"

What's that? How do I wipe? Um... that's more of a business between me and my rear. However, if you just wanna scream the the Internet how you maintain your tooshie hygiene, let us know in the comments section!

(Lol, tooshie's a funny word.)

Amazing Optical Illusions

Hi , in this post you will see awesome and amazing optical illusions that are going to play with your brain and make you laugh and think a little bit.

1 ) You might be wondering why this is included. The black cords against a checkerboard background obviously form a spiral, right? Well, you'd be wrong. This is actually not a spiral. It's just many layers of circles. Try to trace each circle with your mouse cursor.

2 ) In the Zollner illusion, there are two sets of lines. Crosses on different lines create angling. Actually, these lines are parallel to each other.

3 ) A blivet is a paradox. When you look at it from the top, you see two descending rectangular rods. When you look at it from the bottom, you see three ascending circular rods.

4 )  This image is called "Rotating Snakes". Stare at this for a few seconds. Do the circles appear to move? This is a motion illusion; the circles look like they're moving, but they're stationary the whole time.
