Weird facts: Nylon

Do you know nylon? You know that thing, tranparent-y thread used as a line for fishing rods? Or maybe you know it as the colorful thread used in bags and clothes. Well, anyways, here's a weird fact, nylon wasn't called "nylon" because it was a commercial name. It was called like that because it was, unknowingly, developed by two cities at the same time. They then presented it at the same seminar, so they gave it the name of the two cities. These cities were New York and London. NY and LONdon. NY + LON = NYLON! Did you know that? Pretty cool, huh?
